Why Two Styles and What are They For?

We have two styles to choose from, 601 classic style and 801 active style. Both are made from the same quality materials, and both promise an unrivalled boxer experience, but we recognised that there are different requirements for boxers worn for active wear and for lounge wear. Rather than compromising performance in one area, our two styles are tailor made for those with a more active lifestyle and for those without.

The differences are minor, but oh-so important. Let’s have a look.

Our 601 classic style boxers prioritise comfort. They feature… A longer leg length to prevent the chances of any chafing, bunching, or riding up, helping to keep the boxer in place. A moisture-wicking mesh fabric gusset, providing increased ventilation and comfort. Aerated underside leg panels, which are made from a soft, stretchy, breathable, and moisture-wicking mesh for maximum ventilation throughout the whole boxer.

Whereas our 801 active style boxers are instead tailored to those with a more active lifestyle, they feature… Chafe-preventing, anti-friction leg panels, which are made from a smooth fabric to prevent irritation when active. A breathable, moisture wicking, anti-friction fabric gusset, to reduce stickiness and the need for any awkward adjustments.

Whilst the differences between the two styles are small, tailoring each of the two styles to their intended purpose allows us to provide a better experience overall.

What is TENCEL™ Lyocell?

Boxeroos are primarily made from sustainably sourced, premium quality TENCEL™ Lyocell fabric, a cellulose-fibre based fabric that’s sourced from beech tree pulp. Lyocell is made by first breaking the beech tree pulp down into a liquid, before filtering and pumping this liquid through spinnerets to create long cellulose fibres. These fibres can then be turned into yarns or woven into cloths as with most other fibrous materials.

TENCEL™ Lyocell, which is a particular brand of Lyocell that’s produced by the Austrian company Lenzing AG, has a significantly reduced environmental impact compared to other fibres - even cotton. It’s one of the main reasons we opted to use the material for Boxeroos.

However, let us not downplay the performance benefits as TENCEL Lyocell is a 100% plastic free material that is up to 50% more absorbent than cotton, ensuring you feel fresh for longer. Not only do we use a multi-stretch lyocell, that’s soft on the body and lightweight when worn, but lyocell naturally promotes the skin's ability to control body temperature and preserve water. In turn, lyocell prevents the growth of odour causing bacteria.

So if you’re tired of sweating, stickiness or odours during exercise or even just day to day, Boxeroos should definitely be at the top of your list.

Additionally, TENCEL Lyocell promises colour, shine softness retention, meaning that the fabric will not degrade over time, ensuring your Boxeroos keep that premium quality look wash after wash.

What is the Roo Pouch?

Ah the Roo Pouch, our pièce de résistance. When we say “we raise the boxeroof with the latest innovation in boxer technology,” we’re mostly talking about our Roo Pouch™. Simply put, the Roo Pouch is an expertly engineered and ergonomically designed pocket pouch, designed to comfortably accommodate your Roos.

The pouch features a soft brushed elastane trim for flexibility and comfort, and an aerated crotch panel that’s made with a soft, stretchy, and breathable moisture-wicking mesh for maximum ventilation and added air flow, ensuring your kept effortlessly cool throughout the whole day and preventing the need for any awkward adjustments.

The Roo Pouch gives an added layer of support and separation, further preventing any unwanted sweat or stickiness. In fact, when combined with TENCEL Lyocell material of the boxers, the Roo Pouch all but guarantees a sweat and stickiness free experience.
